Hi, Looking for help before i call agency/landlord. Having some issues with the central/water heating since few days. Currently in rental house and there is installed potterton suprima gas boiler. Haven't changed any settings, its 3h in the morning and 3h in the evening and temperature setting around max (three quarter). Usually the water and radiators are nice and warm, as expected and other days/times its barely hot. Looking for some solutions before calling for service. Would appreciate your help. I dont know the system very well but my guess is that its the thermostat, or pump? Will this be expensive to fix? Thank You...

Hi , ..can you seperate the central heating from the hot water. If so try calling CH only. Is it still the same? At or near the boiler is there a guage and if so what is its present reading ( and say if boiler is warm or no). These answers may well shed some light..

There is a gauge by hot water tank and it shows 1.5 bar pressure, so i think its correct. The jacket was taken off earlier, it is all covered now by the way. Tried many combinations including turning off some radiators. Nothing has changed, some days is ok other not. When everything is fine then the tank is very hot or else is just about warm, the same as the radiators and water. Attached photos.

your gauge is part of an auto fill valve and is reading zero, (black needle). although its probably in on position it could be stuck.
I wouldnt advise playing with it, just ring your l/l . you havent done anything to cause this - from what you've posted - so dont worry about it.

Thank you, yes the gauge is in the same position all the time so i have no clue what's wrong as some days its grand the other days barely hot. Guess i'll have to ring the agency tomorrow, hope they help, though i could resolve it on my own which could be probably faster... Anyway thank you for quick reply.
