    hi all,
    just wondering does anyone know about the construction industry in london at the moment??
    is it booming? many jobs available?

    plenty of work in London,always was and always will be. if you want work you will get work,you just need to get your Ass over 'ere and not over eire.

    there is work in London, but it isn't easy to hold on to a job for any length of time. Firms take on through the agencies and will let you go when things slow down, even for a week or two.
    If you intend to work on the larger construction sites you will need to get a CSCS card, which you can apply for once you have taken a fairly basic Health & Safety test. You need to take the test that relates to your trade otherwise you may only be able to get a basic labouring job. Google CSCS and the website should explain all.
    Make sure you bring copies of your qualifications with you. I'd scan them and then email them to yourself so they are always available should you need them. Good Luck.
