    Hey guys!!

I'm looking for abit of help please. Ive recently admitted to myself that im a lesbian. I havent come out to anyone yet, Im terrified to think what my friends and family will say. My family are very traditional and dont look to kindly on gay/lesbian people. They never would be rude to any of them, but you can tell they dont approve,

I fought for a long time to try and be "normal" and to try and like guys because that is what I thought normal was at the time, I even dated afew, but I always ran away if things ever got serious because I knew it didnt feel right. So now I feel like im a little naive and inexperienced compared to other 21 year olds. I set up this account last May and didnt even have to courage to post in it until now!!

What Im really looking for is, maybe someone to tell me where I can get some information and maybe talk to people my age about this. I cant really find any on the internet, it seems to me worldwide chat rooms and so on. Does anyone know of a chat room I could go to? Or a website??? Or if there is anywhere discreet in Cork I could go to meet people my age who might be lesbian or bi-sexual???

Thanks for reading this! hope to hear some replies soon!!! xx

Lol i can completely relate to this! I came out as a lesbian in November and all ive gotten is compliments saying that i was brave and that people respect me more for being who i am. I havnt fully come out to my parents yet but i know that they know and they are more positive about gays now than before. I found my sister was amazing. She didnt care that i was a lesbian and said she knew all along :D

I may be younger than you but i can certainly relate to trying to be normal! Ive struggled to be myself for at least 4 years (Since i was 14) and i tried to date guys but it never felt right. I always felt like if i didnt like guys i wouldnt be accepted by my friends but they are so understanding. One of my best friends was a bit homophobic but she has completely changed since she found out about me.

Best of luck with things anyway and i hope ive helped some bit :D
