This is a bit embarrassing considering my age, but here goes.....was out the other night with some mates, met a nice girl, had some fun and am now sporting the evidence on my neck......two big and nasty red marks!! I never got a hickey when I was a teenager, or ever actually so any tips on how to help them disappear quickly would be most appreciated!!.......I don't think I could bring myself to use make-up. Anything else.....or will I be wearing a plaster to work tomorrow??

    Thanks

It's pretty much a bruise, so get some Arnica cream! Just slap it on often and the mark should reduce. You can also reduce swelling with ice. After that it's the art of disguise. Could you wear a scarf or a shirt with a collar to work?

I think you might have to buy yourself a polo neck lol:D

Thanks Twee. I'll have a look for some of that cream today. I'm thinking it's gonna be a shirt and tie day tomorrow in work.......which even MORE embarrassingly is in a primary school....meeting the parents in the line will be interesting!!

    You dawg!! :D

Been there and, unfortunately, there's no immediate solution. Cover it up with clothes. Even if you were to use make up, the darn things just tend to keep showing up through it.

Or else, just say that you fell down... On your neck... It's never worked for me, but there's always a first time.

Ha - hickeys. The scourge of the underage discos!

Fair play to ya, sounds like you had a fun night!
I don't think there's anyway of rapidly getting rid of hickeys, I even tried the old toothpaste remedy once - no success, the mother still saw it, there was still war.
You could develop a sudden case of man flu (a la Gerry Adams in the election) and fire on a scarf?

Get creative with a scarf in the school line! And if the kids ask, tell em you fell!

Put whitening toothpaste on it. (Overnight :p)
Apart from that just wear a scarf. :D

I got shot in the neck while paintballing once and it just looked like a massive hickey for about 6 weeks ! Nobody believed me when I told them what happened and I still think my misses has suspicions about that day out with the lads. You could try using that excuse ? Hopefully it works out better for you !
