hi, if i was attending an Itec certified part time make up course in a place like make up fablicious,
would i get any financial aid from somewhere like the social welfare?
it's really hard for me to find a job right now
and i really want to do a course like this
but if i don't have any income i wont be able to do it.
Any help would be great! :)

If you do a course with like a vec or a college - you would get a grant, i think.

if its a private college - you wont get any assistance. but - if the course isn't full time and youre doing 1 or 2 days a week, then you can still get the dole.

The course being pursued must be a full-time day course of study and lead to a qualification that is:
    • recognised by the Department of Education & Skills,
    • awarded by the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) or,
    • the Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC).
You need to check with the college.

On another note i highly recommend http://www.lamakeupacademy.com/faqs.php?PHPSESSID=064ad02c8b6fce7e75e518bd88b70ed8#4

I trained with them myself and they are an excellent team!

thanks ... i went to sit in on a class in la make up and it looked great!
the only thing is you don't get an itec or fetac award unless you do
the 1 year course and it costs 9,000!
make up fablicious is 3,500 part time and you get an itec award and they teach pretty much the same stuff.
