Don't want to have to pay for the postage for the new disk ;-)

90 day trial version of windows 7 enterprise
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/cc442495

as for SP1 just download the service pack and slipstream it

If a down load isn't linked from microsoft.com it ain't legit ( and some of the stuff on social.microsoft.com doesn't feel 100% )

I shouldn't need to repeat that links to warez are verbotten

Not to nitpick but it does not really matter where you get the software, Microsoft only really sell the product key.

Completely agree on cracked versions though ;)

No, of course it doesn't, it's not like there have ever been versions of Windows install media (whether betas or final releases) laden down with trojans and keyloggers circulating on torrent sites and P2P networks...

There are some comments around the place about vLite working partially for slipstreaming stuff into Win7, and there's also RT7Lite from a different dev team. Seems either option requires the WAIK to be installed.

To nitpick the terms and conditions prohibit you from sourcing microsoft software ( including patches IIRC ) from any other source other than microsoft

Several resellers of MS software host their applications and OS for download.

Its the licence you buy from Microsoft not the software.

Cgarrad, you sound like you're going to great lengths to justify sourcing a shifty download of Win7 with SP1. If you know of several resellers that provide MS software, why aren't you getting it from them? If you've already got a Win7 licence and media, why not just slipstream SP1 into your existing media and burn a new disc?

God why is everyone so agressive, Im just looking for a link :(

Digital river dont have it up yet and I thought someone here might have an alternative.

If you read the title it does say genuine link not some cracked activation one...

As for slipstreaming its just easier to download. Nobody can argue that point at least....

Speaking only for myself - I'm not being aggressive, but I am pointing out that you seem to be trying very hard to find a solution of the sort favoured by thieving warezmonkeys when other solutions have already been put on the table. (I confess to being confused as to why you need Win7 media with SP1 embedded in the first place, but it's not particularly important to the discussion).

If you can't yet find a download for Win7 with SP1 embedded, what's the point in waiting instead of just slipstreaming and rolling your own? I mean, either way the ISO gets burned onto the same physical disc and will have the same lifespan.

My past experience of slipstreaming service packs into XP and Vista suggests that actually, in terms of the time involved, the two experiences are about even unless you're on a ridiculously fast connection.

If the concern is that the disc may degrade, the only way around is to buy a hard copy of the new installation media. Which you've already dismissed because you don't want to pay postage costs.

Can i clarify that all the links are from a Microsoft partner, Digital River, its fine to download xp, vista or 7.

Apple have gone download only for lion, why have i received an infraction for giving the equivalent links for windows, its all completely legal??

    Digital River

    Wiki Page

Their stock info including market cap of $750m, doubt they would host warez????

Am I missing something here? I know full well that digitalriver are a legitimate source of Windows installation images, but their own help pages tell you to contact Customer Services for the download links - ie they are only for customers who can prove they've bought a licence through DigitalRiver.

Thus there continues to be no such thing as a legitimately-redistributable Windows installation image available. At this point more effort's gone into trying to justify the search in this thread than would be required to just slipstream Sp1 into a standard Win7 ISO.
