Right so ive been asked by a mate to DJ for his birthday party in a club which they're renting, gonna be about 100 people there, but they want to do karaoke for the laugh when they're pissed, so im wondering where can I get a cheap XLR microphone? Sound doesn't have to be great, just do the job.

I never do this kind of stuff when djing, but im going get a nice pay out for this so thought id get one.

I have a xone 22 mixer which I think can only take XLR as the mic input.

    Thanks.

Youll also have to get a screen that displays the lyrics to right?

And a big wad of karaoke tracks and something like PCDJ/VJ to play em. Looked at it before, seems like a lot of hassle.

Well when I say karaoke, I dont mean it in the traditional way. There wont be a need for a TV or anything as they will just sing along to well known songs.

So all I need is a mic.

You'd score a cheap ass mic for about 35bucks.

Where would you rent one? I don't live in dublin also. Do all music equipment shops allow you to rent things?

Just get on google man, find out what shops are near you, ring them and check.

    All shops are different.
