nct and taxbook

    Does anyone know if I need my taxbook to get my nct done, I have seen this question answerd but it was a couple of years ago,and maybe the rules are changed, thanks fo any help

    I've always brought VLC and handed over anyway but others here have NCT'd without.

    And of course , don't forget to bring your vehicle registration book, registration certificate or licensing certificate and your test fee!

    done number ncts for my own car and my wife's car.... never been asked for logbook.... even my name on my own car logbook is wrong (they put wrong letter in to my name when i was changing my address.)

    I had my NCT yesterday. Had my VLC and driver's license. Wasn't asked for them.

    Went back today as I had to change a tyre to pass and the guy in front of me was asked to produce both.

    I guess it depends who you get but OFFICIALLY you're supposed to have your VLC and photo ID.
