I have a 5 series which makes a kind of rubbing sound when steering wheel is turned. To me it sounds like something needs oil but thats just my laymans opinion. Also when the engine is off and i press the clutch it makes a squeaking sound.Car is still under warranty with BMW but if i ask them to check it and either they say the problem is not covered or they cant find anything they'll charge a fortune just for looking.Im broke so looking for the free option!!

Steering wheel problem is probably a bearing somewhere down the steering shaft. Happens in older BMW's. Just take off the steering wheel and a few other things to get to it and lube it up.

No idea on the clutch issue.
