I am a bit off the point but I am getting married in December in Dunboyne Castle and think the dancefloor is too small. I want to hire a black and white dancefloor but cant seem to get anyone in Ireland to respond to me, can anyone help?

I attended a wedding in Dunboyne in September. There were about 150 guests. Band was good so loads were dancing - the dance floor was fine size wise.

ok cool, maybe it just looked small cos there was no1 on it. I would love a black and white dancefloor though just to brighten up the room.
I checked the links above and so far just one reply of like a thousand euro which I think is insane considering if you were renting a marquee its less than 500.
    Any more ideas anyone??

they look nice when clear earlier in the day but when it gets busy nobody will see it and very few will notice it anymore!

was at a wedding recently in a different location and the bride had white tiles on the dance floor, you you honestly think anyone noticed?????
The hotel would sort that sort of thing for you though if they were any good :)

Like previous posters, I really can't see a need for it. Unless of course, you were renting a marquee. No one's gonna be looking at the floor. Imo it's better to have a smaller dance floor anyway cos makes it look fuller. Nothing worse than when it looks like there's no one up! If you wanted to brighten up the room, why not try decorations on walls or something?
