Lets leave the EU and join the Chinese instead

*Jobs will be outsourced to us; economy good, everybody happy
*Almost mandatory atheism (boardsies will love this)
*Less freedom, mandatory ID cards, more social control (less people complaining)
*Less personal wealth (this will stop the begrudgery)
*Death penalty for almost everything = less crime
*We become a strategically located manufacturing centre = even if the rest of China goes down we'll be the best off
*Communist party filled with Engineers and Scientists rather than Jackie Healy Raes

Yes, lets jump from the frying pan, into the fire.
    That will work.

No. I believe in democracy. Although it is good that China are embracing capitalism. Even they are starting to admit that socialism is wrong and look how strong China are now since they have embraced capitalism. Left wing loons, take note :D

Well, it's not like we're going to stop bending over and grow a pair any time soon.

Democracy is a dangerous thing. It is basically, Mob Rule. In a Democracy, the 51% of people instill their values on the other 49%. I prefer a Republic - it defends the right of the individual.

Socialism & Capitalism are tried and both FAILED miserably. FACT

  • Registered Users Posts: 863 ✭✭✭MonkeyGuy

Capitalism will make them rich for a while but then they're screwed after a few decades.... the whole world is screwed.

Let's just get the loan from the EU, then leave it, then they invade, we're back under EU rule, but they can't make us pay because we're no longer the Republic of Ireland. Then in Easter 2016, we take the GPO and some other areas, get our asses handed to us. After a few years we eventually get a new republic. Flawless.
