Samsung UE55D8000 claims to have two included tuners, one for Freesat and another for Freeview HD (which should work for Saorview). Don't know much else about it, whether it does combined EPG etc but don't see why it shouldn't?

    Price? £1,500 for a 40 inch, £2,500 for a 55 inch. Good reviews though.

Hopefully it means the TV is Freesat licensed and having 7-day EPG along with Saorview.

    Does it have full EPG?

    yes in theory
But being Panasonic, if there is a problem in the Software they will not fix it.

I would not buy any Panasonic anything,

I would not buy a Combo TV. Madly overpriced.

Get Irish or Saorview Compatible TV for Aerial and a "Freeview HD" PVR such as Technisat or Humax HDR for Satellite. Save a fortune, have Satellite recording and just as easy to work.

Can anyone advise us on a good tv that has saorview and free sat built in?? Tv is going on the wall so we don't want a combo box coming out of it. Looking for a 42 inch approx and must be smart with wifi also.

I've a Samsung Smart TV from 2012 that has Freesat and Saorview.
Not only is there no single EPG, switching between the two is painful (At least 4 button presses).

I doubt this will be any different

This is a 2011 thread and the previous post is a 2012 set. There is every chance of improvement since then.

Sony bravia offer this, but not combined epg. Single button to switch between freest and saorview. Gracenote provides a good 7day epg for both

Sony haven't had Freesat TVs for many years now, only FTA satellite tuners included in some of their models.

See the range of Freesat TVs from Panasonic, LG and Samsung here - http://www.freesat.co.uk/get-freesat/all-tvs
