Sky IPlayer via a Sky box

Can anyone tell me, with all Sky's wonderful technology and usually they are to the fore with digiboxes, why you can't access Sky IPlayer through their own HD+ box by connecting a broadband connection to it ? same as BBC IPlayer is accessible on Freesat box in the UK ? You can do it through an XBox 360, but it can't be…
