Hi all. So was selling stuff off on ebay. Lashed loads of stuff out for practically nothing. One Item in particular i listed at 99 cent. I work for a parcel company so i can get my things delivered for free. So i Figured sure ill make 6 quid on the courier if it goes for 99cent so not all that bad.
So Sold set of wing mirrors (cost me 60 quid). Now the buyer wants to collect the mirrors from my house and hand me 1 euro.
(no point me paying 5.95 courier fee as i live in dublin and can collect, can pay you in cash or via paypal)
I never mentioned anything on the add about collecting anything at my house and have listed courier at 5.95.
Anyone else have experience of this? Can people decide to collect goods even though you have not stated collection available?

If you never mentioned them collecting from your house then they should know it's not an option. They agreed to buy the item and the price they agreed to pay includes the postage.

If you didn't specify collection as an option you don't have to offer it, tell this buyer that collection is not an option.

worth noting that if the buyer collects the item you will have zero proof of delivery in the event of a dispute....

    wouldnt count.

You need proof of delivery from a registered courier. A photo could be anyone.

On the other hand if he accepts it as cash then the only thing that can happen is one negative rep as nothing is via paypal.

    you are a collective noun?

Nice to see you dragging the thread off topic, and also tarring all non travellers with the same brush.
