Hi guys, I think this is the right place to put this?

Anyway, I have been out of work now for the last year and well I have never had a full time job (fnished school last year)

For the last few weeks I have come to the conclusion that I should really start thinking of a career or just get a normal little retail job or somthing like that which isnt really what i want.

I would be happy with a driving job bus driver, delivery driver ect... But because of my age that won't be an option for a very long time. I have been thinking of training to become a mechanic (Fas have some really good mechanic courses) but there are 2 things that would stop me. I have been told by family friends who are mechanics that there is very little work and it wouldnt be worth my while becoming a mechanic? and I have never been good at any d,i.y stuff although I have never tried even fixing a car.

I would love to get some experienced mechanics opinions on this or even anyone who has been involved in a similar job. I have always liked cars so would ya reccommend it?

    Thanks...

Just because you like cars doesn't mean that you're a good mechanic ;)

Only go for FAS if you have an apprenticeship sorted out with a garage...until then, buy a cheap little runaround and strip the engine out...then put it all back together again!
