    Hi All,

I have a shoot lined up in a studio with a model in 2 weeks time.
Its my first time using a model and the only time iv ever used studio lights was my only time in a studio doing a introduction to studio lighting.

THis is a lingerie Shoot and what im looking for is for any Good guide or poses that would look good on a high key white wall shoot.
Google does not appear to be my friend tonight.

Ideally i would be looking for an image with a lighting setup along with it.
I have some ideas of what im looking for in this shoot But i just need some reading material to make sure i dont totally mess it up.

The model knows this is just for training purpose's But still i want to get SOMETHING right on the day :)

Any of you know off hand of any good studio lighting for lingerie model reference material online?

    Cheers
    Chevron

Tough gig to start with. Google butterfly lighting and take it from there.

    yeah .... for ideas !!

(takes off after hours hat - put on photography hat)

studio work is mainly about getting the exposure correct - taking full control of the light, don't be afraid to use lights on one side or change the power on each side ....to create a different effect than evenly exposed lighting.

posing the model is extremely important - as she already knows you are just starting she can be of assistance - talk to her and discuss some of the images you want to re-create (have a browse through flickr for images of studio model photoshoots)....chances are once the flash goes off the model will change pose...be prepared to stop and ask her to go back to that last position ... change exposure on camera/lighting and shoot again.

hopefully she will have enough patience and understanding to put you at ease - you will be sweating buckets - wear loose/light clothing (yourself).... most studios are fairly warm.

    Don't wear tight jeans!

You'll be grand once you keep your composure, and don't get clumsy if something goes wrong. If you're calm, the model will respond better and be more willing to follow your instructions. If you get tetchy, well ...

Take your time, have fun with it.

As for poses, check out model groups on flickr:
