    Hi,

My sisters Black BMW X3 Reg 06 WX 764 was stolen from the Howth Road on Wednesday night. It was a break in and the keys were taken.

The car is black metallic with cream leather its on Bolands of Wexford plates.

Keep an eye out for it, there is a small reward for any information leading to its recovery.

    Thanks.

No word from the guards, is it worthwhile dealing with the specialist garda unit.

That's bad luck. Sorry to hear it dude. A lot of X3s and X5s being nicked to order at the moment it seems.

Similar thing happened to a colleague a year or two back. Guys actually walked in the front door, grabbed a load of keys and drove off in one of the cars. Yer man and his brother couldn't give chase as the keys for the other two cars in the family were gone too. By the time they grabbed spares it was too late.

The car did show up a while later though, with a little damage in an apartment block's underground car park. Someone reported it to the gardai as looking suspicious. Apparently this is common enough. They get the car into an underground car park (not somewhere they live, obviously) to keep the heat off before driving somewhere to be broken down.

What I'd suggest is going onto neighbours.ie and any similar sites to put the word out with people living in various apartment communities around Dublin. That car will stand out, and people would notice a new one sitting in their basement. The local busy-bodies hang out on such sites to complain about kids hanging around, noise levels from apartments, and if anyone has seen your car it will be this crowd.

Good luck! And may they rot in hell.

Update: Car never surfaced & got screwed by Insurance who made things really difficult. Ended up 4k down.
