What will you break when you're late for work in the morning?

Shamefully I smashed my keyboard up one day when i got repeatedly pwned in a game of counterstrike... funny now when i look back and think about it... i couldn't possibly get that angry about things anymore.

    except stubbing my toe.

I vow someday to open a shop where people can express their frustration by breaking inanimate objects. Something like this: http://money.cnn.com/2008/09/17/smallbusiness/smash_shack.smb/index.htm

I always thought when people on tv or in movies broke things in rage, it was just artistic kind of expression, to show their internal conflicts and whathaveyou.
I didn't reckon people ACTUALLY did it, it seems so... unproductive.
I mean afterwards, whatever made you angry hasn't gone away, you've probably worked yourself up more, and now you have broken your stuff.

Friend of mine had an argument with his girlfriend last week.
He called her a money grabbing bitch, she called him a big fat bsatard mutton head.So in temper he picked up the tv remote and threw it at the wall but missed and hit his 50" plasma tv cracking the screen.A costly little tantrum for him,i got a good laugh out of it tho.

Ofcourse I do, it makes me feel better.

Just make sure the things you destroy aren't too valuable, I regretted smashing an old mobile once after getting some bad news.

    Joke:
Man car break down near house of farmer. Take shelter in barn. Find farmer daughter in barn. Oh! Hot stuff! But TOO LATE! Is already rape by soldier.

This passes for humour in Latvia, which would make anyone want to skullf*ck that nation off the face of the planet

haha, yeah i'm a thrower when i'm in a full blown rage, many a cup or plate has gotten fcuked through the place.

then there's the awkward cleaning up... embarrassed in your own company

I am a very easy going person, dont have a temper. BUT I remember when about 16 weeks pregnant on my second baby I threw a plate off the hall table in a temper- it felt great,:D reckon I must have been getting a surge of hormones and it pushed me over the edge. Poor dp looked at me like I was possessed, don't blame him- the incident was never mentioned again

Real name 'Spock', by any chance?

I fully acknowledge the power of logic, but I only really apply it as a means to satisfy irrational desires.

    Mongo smash!

Breaking things when very mad???? Do you mean the sort of american slang of being angry or mad as in; being insane?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,389 ✭✭✭FTGFOP

Trust your instincts, fonecrusher1. They will not fail you.

I'm a lot better now than I used to be for smashing things in a rage.
Back in the day most expensive damage I did was when I threw my phone at a wall, missed the wall and hit the CableLink (old ntl/upc) box instead and broke both.
