Why do they continue to ignore us in the Republic while doing their weather segment..? They'll happily report on various other news south of the border, so why not start reporting on our weather..? I think it's ridiculous, and somewhat petty :(

    There's no weather in Ireland.

You have the internet. Check any weather website for Ireland.

Do you pay the BBC Licence Fee?

Besides the met office is ****e at predicting weather.

I saw a weather forecast once and they totally cut out the Republic and had the North floating there alone. It looked really dumb tbh :D

Of course I can check online etc, but it'd be nice if they just included us when it comes to the weather. Also, looks stupid showing the map of Ireland and ignoring the majority of it. I bet if we were experiencing the worst weather ever on records they might give us some attention

Surely as a good Irishman you will only watch RTE and the forcasts of Met Error Eire

I guarantee that if they did start doing the weather for the ROI we'd have people complaining then as well.

Why should they? This is not part of their state, and therefore people here do not pay a licence fee to their state media organisation. It's just being a parasite demanding them to cover the weather forecast in this foreign state. Do they do the weather in the Netherlands or France? If you have a problem with Ireland's current political status, you can stand for election for a return of British rule.

What's your problem with Met Éireann? Or is it just a general problem with Ireland that you have?

I know! Despite all the threads that have been started on AH about this issue and still, the BBC continues to ignore it.

@ Seanchai, I'm demanding nothing. Also, parasite..? Get a grip. The reason I started this thread was because I was "wondering" why BBC still ignore down here for the weather, yet other english channels can include the Republic

Name, and give a sample of, one English channel which covers the weather in the 26 Counties?

No British channel covers the weather in the 26 Counties. There's no rational reason why they should, unless they're going to cover the weather in the Netherlands, France, Spain and wherever else.
