    Hi All,
Im new to running, well race running anyway, im doing a 10K this sunday and im starting to have doubts wheter i could do it or not.I did the tuam 8k in January in 52 mins which was ok but around the 6k mark i was struggling, since then unfortunately i havent been able to train much at all due to other commitments and work, but this week i got out for 3 runs of 6k, 5k and 7k, in all around the 4k mark i struggled again, i do have weight on me so could that be why i am struggling at these stages. in the three runs this week i was averaging 44 mins or so, i just hope that i would be able to finish the 10k and not in last place :). Anyone got any tips or advice

It's a bit late for advice, since you shouldn't be running between now and the race
Don't go out drinking or stay up late tonight or tomorrow.
Have a healthy breakfast (not a big fry-up) 90-120 minutes before your run, assuming its a morning run.
    Go out slower.
