WWE's womens division

Is it just me or does the WWE have the potential for an Awesome Diva's division.

since I used the term Awesome I might aswell start with Awesome Kong who is waiting in the wings to debut add to that Beth Phoenix, Natalya Neidhart, Gail Kim, Laycool and current WWE champ Eve Torres.

Then add to that the potential of Cris "Cyborg" Santos in negotiations with the WWE as reported by thebostoncrab, not to mention Melina, Tamina and Maryse. Then you also have the occasionally pushed extension to that division like we see at the moment with Kelly Kelly and The Bella's or even Rosa. Thats without even mentioning NXT/FCW competitors like Kaitlyn and AJ.

Okay this is the WWE and maybe we shouldnt expect a great "Diva's Division" but their is def the talent there and that can be half the problem as perhaps some of these better Diva's can now step up their game against each other or carry some of the lesser Diva's to more than just filler matches atleast.

Vince is too focused on putting the hot hot women on show, instead of the women who can actually properly wrestle a match thats entertaining. Beth Phoenix vs Awesome Kong has the potentialn to be awesome, but they'll be too stupid to act on it.

Is Finlay still in charge of the women's division on smackdown?

couldent tell you, someone else might know. I'd be encouraged if he is.

I forgot to mention Tough Enough with Stratus and iirc some high profile females, remember hearing Miss America or something would be on it.

Womens wrestling is an afterthought to the WWE unfortunately.
No serious feuds,very few characters that go beyond being a nice girl or being a bítch and most importantly very little time given for their matches,unless all these things are adressed then the division doesn't stand a chance,which is a serious pity.

Eve,Natalya,Beth,Kong,Gail,McCool and the Bellas are all good wrestlers and I'm puzzled as to why someone like Tamina is on the roster ahead of AJ who looked seriously talented on NXT.

I think as long as Vince is in the WWE, the womens division will never be treated seriously. Hulkamania is gone, but misogyny is still running wild in the WWE! Vince just wants hot girls in short matches. The Piggy James stuff and the comments about Nattie Neidhart and Vickie are a sign of what Vince thinks.

A big problem with the Divas is that none of them are over.When they wrestle its nearly always in front of deafening silence & I think we considered it as the time fans go to buy merchandise,food or go for a piss when their short matches with botchy spots start.

I think if Gail Kim and Awesome Kong had their TNA matches, nobody would be going for a píss or buying merchandise.

Whenever me and the lads are watching a show or PPV, we try an schedule the piss break for the divas match. If you don't need a piss break, you put on some food or order the pizza, and try and try schedule the pizza to arrive during Randy Orton, Undertaker or Drew Mcintyre's entrance.

When the hell are wwe debuting Kong anyway.Everyone though it was the rumble but that was weeks ago.Reading Power Slam's Top 25 ppv's recently they had 2 Womens events in the Top 5.It was Japanese of course but apparently its mindblowing to watch after watching American Womens matches.If I was interested in watching good womens matches i'd watch that instead of Eve vs Maryse(the kind of divas matches wwe would be interested in producing).

The only divas that can put on a decent match and actual wrestle are Beth, Gail and Natayla imo. Kong is suppose to debut after WM and hopefully will take out all the useless divas for good.

McTool is always safe over being Mrs Taker yet she is another useless diva :mad:

I dont see the point of the Bella Twins

Kaitlyn won Nxt and seems to be gone from SD - her feuding with Vickie made more sense than Kelly Kelly

Remember the days with Lita V Trish was the main event on Raw

They dont want to push one specific Diva as when they did that Sunny, Chyna and Sable all became headwreckers.

While people like Trish Stratus and Stacy Kiebler used their fame/profile to do media work.

Also it is pissbreak/buffer between title matches fodder.

Why do you hate Michelle McCool so much? She's a solid worker, has a good look and gimmick and isn't bad on the mic.

She's far, far more entertaining than the vast majority of the womens division of WWE or TNA.

+1 to that. Laycool have been one of the most entertaining things I have seen from the womens division in the WWE. They are basically a classier, better version of the Beautiful People.

I also really think the McCool hate is far from fair. She's an excellent heel, a good wrestler and has a good look too. It's also funny when the same people love HHH and hate McCool because of her relationship with somebody who doesn't have a huge bearing on WWE shares or ownership-wise.

What more could you want really?

I could say that about most the wwe Divas. The division reads good on paper but the matches always seem to be dull,clumsy & I think Vince pushes the Divas he finds attractive Eve,Kelly Kelly & then the likes of Natalia is called fat which is just plain stupid.

She had tons of good matches with Melina actually. She can have a good match but she mainly seems stuck in tag matches or working with green divas.

WWE divas are generally under strict orders to have short, safe matches. But Michelle McCool generally performs each move pretty well and has had decent matches within the parameters of WWE Divas norms.

She had a few good matches with Mickie James during that unfortunate ''piggy'' feud aswell.I think she's a good wrestler but she lacks mic skills,she's fairly highly regarded by her peers too,remember reading various articles about how she'd help the non-wrestling diva's train and go through spots with them before their own matches.

i dont like mccool at all. shes ok on the mic, shes a decent heel but she is nothing special, shes more entertaining than most divas by proxy imo. im sorry but if gail kim could actually be given a match with anything over 7 mins, with someone who could actually wrestle like beth or natalya, mccool would seem entirely pointless imo.

dont get me wrong, im not saying mccool is bad, im saying theres better talent out there, and if put in the ring with them, and the match given decent length, she would have to be carried through it. she is simply not good enough imo

but then again the vast majority of womens wrestlers from both wwe and tna are nowhere near good enough for their respective divisions to be taken seriously

She wasn't carried in her matches with Beth, Melina and Mickie and they all turned out quite well.

^ while that may be true, i feel that she would have to be carried if the matches were of a decent length. that is all im saying.

i simply dont think she is as talented as others seem to make her out to be. shes average imo

yes, but it's not with the WWE, she is signed to TNA atm, still wrestles under the name Mickie James though so I guess I was wrong in thinking her previous TNA name Alexis Laree iirc was her real name.
