Pasting images in word documents

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I'm having some trouble pasting images into a MS word document on my macbook. When I go to paste the document in, all that appears is the URL. I've tried everything i can think of to fix it including turning off 'image placeholders' in word preferences, but nothing seems to be…

Save the image to your hard drive and then import it directly.
