With all the complaining that goes on in here I started to wonder, but I realise this is a very Dublin-centric forum and although I have never driven a car in Dublin I don't understand how people can do it without going mad.

Myself I love driving, although being caught in city traffic watching the petrol gauge go down does annoy the hell out of me at times.

I've gone from 60K kilometers per annum to using the Dart and a push bike.

    Boy do I miss it.

I love driving although since I started cycling to work, I can no longer tolerate any kind of traffic. As a result, I tend to only drive outside of rush hour traffic so now any time I do drive I tend to enjoy it

Love driving, even in Galway city.

Love driving but hate having to pay as much for the pleasure. I travel 56 miles to work and another 56 miles home and the cost of fuel is killing me !

Love driving, it actually calms me down :) even when dealing with noobs on the road :)

I love driving! I don't have to drive every day though, I cycle to and from work, so I really just drive out of enjoyment. If I had to drive every morning and evening in traffic, I reckon I'd feel differently.

I don't like mindless motorway driving, but nice country or coastal roads are class.

Love driving. One of my favourite kinds of holiday is to load up, take the ferry and take a couple of days to drive across France to some far-flung spot.

I have 90,000 km on the main car in three years.

    Yes.
When I'm in anything but this shítbox excuse for a car.

Enjoy it sometimes, or even most of the time. I'm lucky that my commute is nearly all motorway, so while it's not particularly fun, at least it's not stressful at all. I got an MP3 player connection kit which makes it that bit easier again.

I do enjoy a bit of a spin at the weekends, despite only having a little oil burner! The reviews of my car said that it was more of a cruiser than a particularly good handling car, but I've found it to be quite a bit of fun despite that.

I find driving relaxing & enjoyable. Nothing better than heading off down the coastal roads for a spin.

Fairly obvious answer when asking it in a motors forum

    Used to love it.

These days a lot of the fun has been sucked out of it with the extortionate running costs and price of fuel.

So these days ... still enjoy it, maybe not love it so much anymore. Doesn't help that our main transport is a 4x4 these days either :D

I used to be in field service and had a Ford Focus diesel van.
Sounds boring, but it's actually quite nippy and fun.
And I know every backroad in Clare and there are some very nice ones!
GF's MX5 on twisty backroads is nice too.
Commuting's a bit of a drag sometimes, but I'm always happy behind the wheel of a car.
