My relations are snooker experts. What impresses me is that they can see several shots ahead. I suppose a lot here can do that too.

They can often call the next few shots and the player does exactly that.
    See things I can't see.
    Anyway, I was wondering....
Suppose you're a talented player but maybe inexperienced.

Is there a rule to stop you getting a earpiece and some coach telling you strategy and what to aim at?

Drivers in motorsport have this with engineers. Quarterbacks in American football get told the plays by microphone. Boxers have their trainers

Just wondering, my relations didn't know

I would imagine for betting purposes alone this is dissalowed.
Otherwise the coach could be telling him to miss this shot or that one or throw this frame or that(even in code just in case you reply that officials can listen in to whats said;)).

If the player really needs a coach in snooker to suggest strategy and shot choice in-play then i dont think snooker is for him(especially if Joe Johnson is the coach!).

I feel that when you can play the game a bit and control the cue ball to a decent level, the flow is much more obvious and the range of shot available (and their difficulty) is more obvious.

Yeah, it just comes with time, practice and watching great break builders, its not really something you can teach someone and theres no right or wrong way to break build, everyone does it differently. ie.. the difference between Ray Reardon and Stephen Hendry is like night and day, but both are legends of the game!

In conclusion, I would be fairly sure they're not allowed feelingstressed.

They can't confer with coaches in person for example, so I can't see how an earpiece would be allowed.

But anyway, even a relatively non snooker player such as myself with an interest in the game can tell 3 shots ahead.

There are only 5% of shots that aren't clear cut, and thats where the best come into their own and show their own style
