Remove paint from Brick

    Hi,

I want to remove the paint off the brick on the front of my house.
There are a good few layers but there is a nice red brick underneath.
A neighbor got his sandblasted off.
Is there some way I could do it myself?
Would the brick need to be treated afterwards?
Also would I have to re-point?

    Thanks for any advice.

Knock on your neighbours door, tell them you love what they have done, and if the could advise you. Seems simple to me.

Acid stripper, could be a way to go. Will only know if it needs repointing afterwards.
