    Hi,

Downloaded the vmware fusion trial and bought a copy of windows 7 and it's working great.

On the vmware fusion website its £62.12 to get a full key.

But I can buy version 3.0 off amazon.co.uk in a box for £27 or so.

Any idea if the 3.0 key will work on the downloaded 3.1 version?

    Thanks a lot!

VMware 3.1 was a free update for 3.0 users so you should be OK.

A word of warning ... VMware Fusion is not being actively developed. In terms of performance Parallels Desktop overtook it over two years ago and VMware have almost given up on the product since. My advice would be to save your money and use VirtualBox instead, if you want to buy a product then get Parallels Desktop.

Parallels run offers from time to time giving discounts on the product like 25% or $20 off. Current Promo for $20 off

+1 on Virtualbox. Unless you are running servers for a business or need full graphic support.
