'99 Audi A3, 1.6L, Midnight Blue. 120,000 miles, full service history and only one female owner from new. Car is in excellent condition and drives lovely. Can get if for €1600 which sounds like a good price to me as they generally seem to go for a lot more.

Have never had an Audi so im not sure where their pitfalls are or what to look for (Usually go for Mazda's). Any advice would be most appreciated.

No link, its a private sale. A friend of my fathers just got it in and gave me a shout, have been on the lookout as my car was robbed recently. He knows the seller personally and can vouch for the car but I have done a background check with motorcheck just to be 100% sure and it all checks out. It has an NCT and it expires in November this year. Think i'll get a mechanic to have a look over before i buy it. Sounds like a good price though compared to what is on the market.

Gonna give the Mazda a miss this time, have heard bad reports about them being easy to rob but I love them as cars, very reliable and are well made.

    +1

A one owner car in excellent condition with a full service history is clearly a car that has been well looked after. Never mind reputations for reliability that some cars have, when it comes to this age, it's much more likely something will or will not go wrong based on the individual car itself, rather than the general make or model. I'd go for it if it checks out!
