Small Claims getting out of hand

I recently failed to respond within 14 days to a small claims court action against me and now gotta pay 2 grand or appeal to the circuit court. I wont go into detail but I seriously doubt they'd win in court and in fact the claim would be considered frivilous. Anyone with a similar experience ????????????????

Unfortunately you're going to need a Solicitor.
