I'm considering adding an RTE aerial to my setup there is room on the mast for another aerial and bought an 18 element group c/d aerial.

Can i join the the two aerials together by using a splitter in reverse?

Would the amplification of the distribution amplifier be enough to get a good signal of RTE in West Belfast?

    Thanks Bill.

No you will need a K/CD combiner to combine Divis (K 21-50) TO Clermont (CD 42-68) See below.

You will need to purchase a masthead amplifier (single stage 13db) should be plenty, a power supply unit may not be required if the dist amp has 12v line power. You will need to physically check that.

Thirdly you will need to check your location to ensure the RTE is adequate before putting the work in, parts of West Belfast have stonking signal and others sit round the mountain and get next to nothing.

Thanks Sam but that went completely over my head.

Could you or anyone else recommend a decent aerial installer in Belfast?
