Getting Media Coverage

My cousin is currently involved in the 7Up 'Back For The Craic' competition. Their final challenge is to see 'which of our teams can drum up the most media publicity about their campaign to be brought home to Ireland for Paddy's Day.'

Does anyone have any ideas about how to go about getting free media coverage in Ireland?
    Thanks!

Do something unusual, unique, eye-catching and/or entertaining.

Contact as many newspapers/radio stations and tell them about it.

I see your location is Wexford, get in touch with local papers - its a good news bit for them.:
    Enniscorthy Guardian
    New Ross Standard
    The Echo
    The Gorey Echo
    The New Ross Echo
    The Wexford Echo
    Wexford People

Unfortunately, the challenge ended today, so there wasn't enough time for newspapers to print a story. Thanks for your suggestions!
