Legal position regarding job

I am looking for some advice on how I can put pressure on the HSE to re-instate me into my previously permanent position. I took a career break for 2 years and requested to return to work in January 2009. I am still waiting to return to work over 2 years later even though my career break contract states I will be given a position after 1 year following the end of the career break. I am sure there are others in a similar position. I feel like I have been 'let go' without notice or redundancy. I am constantly pressuring the union to sort this issue out but to no avail. I would appreciate any suggestions.

We don't do legal advice... see a solicitor.
