Yes....I'm looking for a lot. :) That's the list though. Dual input (so I can watch and record at the same time), DVB-S2, USB, with linux support.

    Any suggestions?

Sorry, should have been more clear: I have the computer part. I just want a USB box. Something like this, but with two inputs.

That looks like a very nice piece of kit though. :)

    Mad stuff.

I don't recommend USB Satellite tuners. Expensive compared to PCI cards.

You can just use two of them.

I use a pair of Technotrend S3200 DVB-S2 PCI cards. Plenty similar cheap PCI cards.

Well...I was thinking of getting a revo at some point down the line. I currently have a HTPC that I built myself and while it has a pci slot in it, the revo doesn't so I thought USB would be the way to go.

I had thought of using two alright. Would prefer to just use one with two input though. It's not such a big deal with it's PCI cards in a computer as two externally powered USB boxes.

The NVidia ion can usually do MPEG5 H.264 L4 / HD OK, but can Atom 330?

My 3700+ AMD Athlon 64 with Asus version of NVidia GT210 is only just good enough. USB is a significant CPU overhead compared to PCI or PCIe.

The revo has an ion chipset. I thought that would be sufficient for decoding? Why would there be a CPU overhead too?

    Hmmm. I hadn't considered that.

MPEG2, Deinterlace and upscale to 1920x1080p is currently using up to 44% CPU (no MPEG2 Cuda support)
MPEG4 HD and Deinterlace to 1920x1080p about 10%

But oddly, sometimes "tearing" on rapid movement (like top part and bottom part many frames apart), but only on HD.

Media Player 10 playback of recorded Transport Stream as a *.TS mysteriously works best. No surprise MC on win7 works well for Live TV, much lower CPU than "total Media 3.5" with DTT USB stick. I have no Win7 myself (son's lapttop) or access to it with PCI satellite Cards. All the PCs and Laptops I have are Ubuntu or Win XP pro.

    Hi,

Is there is a USB2 combo device out there that has two DVB-S2 turners and one DVB-T turner? Also it has to be fully compatible with Windows 7 media centre and get all the HD channels?

I would settle for one DVB-S2 turner.

It has to be USB as I have a micro PC. I dont want two separate USB devices.

Anyone have such a USB device?

Basically I want to watch Freesat and Saorview on Windows 7 media centre.

I want one device as I want it to be as straight forward as possible to setup on different computers.

    Cheers for any advice offered.

I have never seen a USB combo DVB-T/S2 device, nor have I ever seen a USB 2x DVB-S/S2 device. I doubt they currently exist. PCI yes, but USB no.

Your stuck with getting separate DVB-T and DVB-S2 USB tuners.

Could you recommend a DVB-T and DVB-S2(dual) USB tuners (WMC7 compatible + HD channels)?

Does the below work for DVB-S2?

There are no dual DVB-S2 devices (i.e. 2x DVB-S2 tuners) either in USB format. The one you linked to only has 1x DVB-S2 tuner - the second port is a loop-thru which could be connected to another receiver etc.

All USB devices with BDA drivers should work with Windows, but there can be some variability in how well the BDA drivers are written.

Personally, I'd be inclined towards the Technisat Skystar HD range, as they have a large user base.

The HTPC forum might be worth a look too:

[edit] Just spotted that Hauppauge have a 2x DVB-T tuner device. The second DTT mux is due to be launched shortly, so to have **full** PVR on Saorview would require this sort of device (or else 2 individual DVB-T USB dongles)
