Personalized Frames

    Hi there,

I've been looking around both online and offline for some frames and i can't seem to find a place that allows you to make a choice on how its framed, the dimensions and how its presented and i was wondering if anyone can help?

What I am particularly looking for are frames that don't actually have any frame. In other words I am just looking for a place than can cut two sheets of glass to a certain measurement and then place my picture in the middle and close the two pieces together. Creating a frame of clear glass around the piece. If you know anywhere i can start looking, like a name or number i would be very grateful.

Also i don't mind using a clear glass frame that may have a small rubber surround for the edges but i am specially looking for a place i can go talk to the supplier and design my own frames.

Another thing that might be beyond most peoples knowledge is, that i was wondering does anyone know if there is a frame holder that can be attached securely to the back of the frame that can allow the picture frame to spin around. As i draw pictures that can be viewed from multiple angles i was wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a method to spinning pictures (hopefully not easily, as i don't want a picture that can't hold its alignment) so i don't have to disassemble and reset the picture.

I ask this mainly because in a few months time i will be exhibiting my art work and i would like to create a clever method to hosting my pictures so that art enthusiasts can rotate the picture frame at their own leisure to enjoy a brand new feeling for each picture.

Thank you in advance for any help or advise.

Are there any courses on framing?!

It's something that just scares me! I wouldn't even attempt to make a frame, mounting boards just seem head wrecking to create and buying frames works out expensive... and a pain in the ass to get the right size.

And I've never gone to get anything framed professionally as I'd be afraid of how much it would cost.

I've two paintings and a poster at home that I'd love to frame but I can't afford to so they are tucked away out of sight :(

I totally understand you, its a daunting task getting things framed but if you expect to exhibit your work you need professionally made frames in order to protect and display your pieces.

At the moment i have about 40+ pieces that need to be framed. And i finish a picture once a week, so to insure my work is safe and protected but also ready for display at a given moment i need to find a place that is reliable that i can continue business over a long period of time.

Although i am not well off, the price is not something that bothers me, its choice.
