    Hi guys,

Got confirmation email from Apple today to say my MBP has been shipped by UPS. Anyone know where exactly they are shipped from - Ireland? US? Just so I can make sure someone is at home to sign for it!

Depends on what device/hardware and what configuration. If you ordered the basic off-the-shelf spec of a popular model, it'll probably be shipped from within Europe (Amsterdam I think but I could be wrong). If not, it could come from Singapore.

Did they give you a tracking number?

They did provide a shipping number but it hasn't been updated yet...

Just curious to know in case it arrives tomorrow etc

Apple's estimated delivery date is usually pretty accurate. If it's a standard spec model then there's a good chance you'll get it by Monday.

My MacBook Pro (15") arrived yesterday (March 3rd). It was shipped on Feb 26th by UPS, so took 5 days. AFAIR it went Shanghai-Korea-Kazhakstan-Poland-Germany-Ireland. The estimated delivery date given by Apple was March 7th.

My sister got the new up spec 13" in Arnotts the other day. She didn't want to wait for shipping buying it from Apple direct so was handy that Arnotts had it in stock

Sometimes you can win and lose on that, was it the same price as it was online? If so that's pretty good.

Yea prices are the same everywhere, with the exclusion of the student discount etc.

In other news. I'm still waiting for my new MBP to arrive.. It's been in ' Tamworth ' for a few days now with UPS. *sigh*

Did it take much longer for your MBP to arrive?

Mine is still being delivered. It went from Tamworth to Newtownabbey then back to Manchester because of incorrect routing then back to Tamworth. So annoying

I'm waiting on my BTO 15". Had to go for a high res screen so right now it's *somewhere* in Asia. The wait is killing me!!! New things!

5 days includes doing the customs clearance, breaking down the pallets into individual orders, then handing over to the couriers to ship to Ireland.

I got it at the end of last week. Was in tamworth for about 4 days, and then in Dublin for 3 before i got it.

    Worth the wait though!

See if it goes out for delivery in the morning and if not ring UPS. I've had all kinds of bizarre notices come up on online tracking.

well i just came home from work to open my macbook pro, been waiting all week for this moment, opened it like a giddy child all excited and switched it on.. the welcome screen pops up and straight away i notice there is something wrong, the colors are not right. the blacks arent black they are pinky red and i can see the pixels in the corners flickering, the whole screen has a red tint to it. definitely something wrong/broken. i rang apple customer care and they are going to collect it and build/ship a new one to me with priority shipping. at least im being sorted quite quickly. still really disappointed after waiting last 10 long days for it to arrive only to be broken. will have to wait another 10 days now. :(

You need a mini displayport to VGA adapter. You can order one on the applestore.
