    Hoping someone can help me!

I recently brought my 2006 Ford Mondeo into a Fast Fit centre because the brakes weren't great and I assumed it was the pads or discs. The guy in there told me that all was fine and that it could be something to do with the turbo?! Now I don't claim to know too much about car engines but that to me sounds weird! He couldn't fix it or even check it for me as they don't really do that in-depth kinda stuff. Funds are kinda tight at the minute so I'm hoping someone on here can give me an idea as to what it could be and how much it might cost to fix. Cheers! :)

I have no idea but I wouldn't be taking advice of any kind from someone at Fast Fit. What would he know about the turbo without driving the car? And what has that got to do with brakes?

If you feel you have a brake problem try a good Indy mechanic. Could simply be a brake fluid change required.

Well it goes without saying that there is no connection between the turbo and the brakes.

What are the exact symptoms you are having though?

Yes, the servo is part of the brake system, the turbo isn't!:D

Nissan Doctor, could you guestimate a ballpark figure if there is an issue with the servo assist?

It would be very hard to estimate anything like that without seeing the car as there are so many things that could cause a reduction in brake performance.

A faulty servo gives a very distinct issue though, namely a very hard brake pedal but very little actual stopping power.

The the brakes are just 'soft' then there could be an issue with anything from the master cylinder to worn disks to a damaged(bulging) brake pipe to poor brake fluid.

    Free inspection availabe as always....;):P
