    I'm thinking about getting a Satellite dish so that I can watch European TV stations. I just have basic ntl tv connection at the moment. Can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction in terms of price and suppliers?

    Also, can anyone tell me what the difference is between Free Stat, Free View and Free to Air:confused:

    Check the stickies at the top of this forum for local suppliers

    Freesat = FTA, with 7 day EPG, often with PVR, also has some extra red button functionality, Enhanced Digital Teletext

    Freeview = UK DTT service, not compatable with Irish DTT service, may be accessible depending on your TV tuner and where you live

    FTA = Any channel broadcast unencrypted via satellite, usually only provides now/next EPG. bigger range of channels than Freesat. Most/All freesat boxes support FTA on a separate menu

    Too manu acronymns!
    EPG=Electronic Program Guide
    DTT=Digital Terestrial TV
    PVR=Personal Video Recorder equivalent to Sky+
