    Heard this on This Morning.
    • A one off to say that talks have now started to produce a DVD of all Brookside's best storylines - after pressure from fan groups. 4DVD may bring out the DVD next year following lots of twitter, Facebook and please from fans of the old channel 4 soap.

I loved it too. I watched it from the first episode with my late mother. We loved the Grants, especially Barry. Happy memories. I thought of it tonight watching Amanda Burton on Waterloo Road, she played Heather, another favourite of ours. They could do worse than show repeats of Brookside. My daughter watched some of it online and loved it.

I''d love for him to appear in another soap, maybe Hollyoaks or Emmerdale (do they have any Liverpudlians in Emmerdale?)

Wonder if any of the multitude of satellite channels would ever consider repeating this.It really was an unmissable soap, particularly from the start up until about 1998.The current soaps are rubbish with regurgitated story lines and celeb cameos!

    I'd definitely watch it again.
