How do you approach life. Do you feel you are destined to be more than you are now?

Or have you no ambition? Does life represent a trial to be endured or a challenge to excel? Do setbacks delay you or KO you?

What's the reason for being reasonable?

    Is that an unreasonable question?

This feels like I'm being interviewed for a job...

But yes! I'm ambitious and I want to excel in life. Setbacks do bring me down a bit but then I get right back up on my feet and try harder next time.

If there is a next time...

I want to hit the lottery. :D

My philosophy is that if you never attempt anything, you will never fail. I do think im destined for great things but if i try and fail, i will have nothing left, not even dreams.

Thats my deep and meaningful post of 2011 :D Its also the reason why i hate socialism. You cant dream under socialism

I'm lying in bed in my underpants, laptop on my lap, crumbs in the bed from the snacks I was just eating, looking at silly pictures on the internet.

I bloody well hope I'm destined for more than I am now.

If there's no next time then I'm afraid I'd have to agree with Pauleta's philosophy. lol :D

Bucket loads of ambition, but am guilty from time to time of slipping out of motivation for the hard work part that needs to be done to meet those ambitions. Great for a few months, might slack abit for maybe 1-2 months then I get back on track again.
I don't feel I'm destined to be anything, I think I will only achieve what I want through many years of hard work.
I don't think life is a trial to just be endured, I would be more in favor of your other option that it is a challenge to excel in.
I am very very ambitious. Some might say too ambitious, or even perhaps unrealistic, but I would find life very boring if I ever think of just settling for 'ok'.
I don't just want to 'like' my life.I want a job I love, I want a home that I love. I also want to travel more.
I am only starting out on the first year of the path for these things, but I believe that I can achieve all these things.

Setbacks? Many, many, many setbacks have always and continue to get thrown at me. I've grown so accustomed to them by this stage, that I barely let them phase me anymore!:pac:
In my mind there are a huge number of people who are much worse off and have it harder than me, so instead of dwelling on things I try to just acknowledge them, have a cry, get over them as quickly as possible.:)

Very true. Maybe im just hoping the capitalist system sweeps me away and rewards my greatness. Under socialism i just get what im given and thats it, nothing else to achieve. I just want to overcome my fear of failure.

This is starting to turn into the personal issues forum :D

I have high hopes. Only a matter of time now, before I get bitten by a radioactive spider and become a superhero.

Personally I alternate between periods of abject listlessness where I just trudge along, and periods where I believe I can literally do anything, and have the motivation to do so.

Am I ambitious? Often I am, mostly not. My ambition right now for say 10 years would be a nice wife, a nice house, some kids and just the right amount of money to get by. Job wise? Something I don't loath. I would be happy enough with that.

However other times I have higher ambitions, the thing is academically I am sure I can achieve pretty much anything if I put the work in, but what would be the point? More money? Doesnt really interest me tbh. Im studying law atm so hopefully I will be able to make a positive contribution at the end of the day. Sure I sometime want the big house, big cars etc etc but you can have all of them and be miserable
Do setbacks delay you or KO you?
I can honestly say that anything I have ever believed was a setback has worked out perfectly, Im a lucky bastard, things just fall into place for me.
