Do you brush your teeth before or after you eat breakfast?

I brush my teeth as soon as I wake up. I couldn't eat breakfast with the stuff that builds up in your mouth overnight. I also heard that spiders crawl into your mouth while you're sleeping. Some people have said that food doesn't taste right after you mouthwash but isn't it better to have your mouth cleaned before you eat?

What are your thoughts?

I brush them before breakfast but then end up going back to bathroom to check nothing is stuck in them after breakfast. Prob a better idea to brush after though.

I brush them before. Your teeth are a little bit acidic after eating so if you brush after eating, then over time, the enamel wears away quicker.

Before breakfast, just after I get out of the shower.
Mouth is rotten in the morning, wouldn't be able to go downstairs without brushing teeth and gargling mouthwash.
After porridge, I just take a swig of orange juice to wash down any bits!

Ahh, I don't believe that wind one. Although I do believe that if you fart and the wind changes direction, the people behind you will die from pure ecstasy.

true, i only brush when i have a wash proper. and i only wash proper too! bath vs shower here we go..

I can understand drinking before you brush but I don't know...eating before you brush? That's...hmm...I wouldn't do it unless I had to.

same with me, if im grabbing breakfast in town then ill brush before, but if im eating at home i'll brush after breakfast, and then again right before bed, after dinner i eat jellies/cake and drink red bull so i have to wait till bed-time!

I brush my teeth first. The way I look at is that I have to shower (possibly shave some mornings) etc in the bathroom so just get it all over with in one go. Then when that's done I might eat some shredded wheat or something. Or some fruit. Or I might wank while watching midgets fist dogs. Whatever.

I only brush my teeth at night. Only ever in the morning if I forget to at night. Once a day is more than enough for me. Mouthwash about once every two weeks.
