Just wondering if anybody has tried one of these. Look like a nice alternative to a trainer but fairly pricey.

They've had great reviews only downside being the noise generated! I tried one briefly in the CSS and can certainly vouch for the noise ..... like a plane taking off!! You certainly wouldn't use one late at night with the family trying to sleep in the next room!

the noise is deafening, and im not exaggerating one bit

i had, but recently sold a cycleops jetfluid pro, and if im being honest, they felt the EXACT same, only the cycleops doesnt make noise

saying that, i didnt like the cycleops, because it uses the same kind of system for resistance, basically the thinking is the higher up in gears you go, the harder it becomes to cycle, but the fact of the matter is, that it never gets very hard, and never feels anything like a hill,

get a trainer that has a specific resistance if you want something realistic
