Replacing Brake Pipes

    MY car recently failed the NCT because of two rear brake pipes with some corrission on them.........should getting these replaced in a garage be expensive does anyone know, I was told it shouldnt be. Dont want to be ripped off!

    It depends on the car and where the corrosion is. Some would be very straight forward to change and some run up above fuel tanks and exhausts etc so would take alot longer.

    The steel lines have to be made to match the old pipes, its far from rocket science but if not done properly the consequences are obvious.

    I knackered a pipe on a Stilo I was working on for a m8. I chanced giving the local factor a shout. Brought the original with me and he knocked one up in 20 mins for me. 15 notes. job done.
