Looking for exam and solution past papers for Cost Accountancy

I was due to sit 4 exams last year as part of the Diploma in Business Studies course I studied by distance learning with the IPA in 2010. Unfortunately for personal reasons I was unable to sit the exams in April 2010 or the supplementary in Aug 2010.

I was all set to just not bother with the course anymore but a few weeks back I decided to bite the bullet and sit the exams in April 2011. I am however having a lot of trouble with Cost Accounting. I understand the theory behind Cost Accounting but I am having trouble doing the exam questions (past papers) on absorbtion, calculating net present value, Break Even Analysis, reconciling Bugeted and acutal profit. Basically most of Cost Accounting

I can follow the examples in the IPA book but when it comes to doing out the past exam questions I am thrown. I think I need to look at solutions to the exam questions and work my way back from there. Also I have some questions and answers packs that I would have gotten at some weekend seminars but I am finding them difficult to follow.

I am determined over the next 7 weeks to get a very good understanding of Cost Accounting so I was wondering if anybody here could direct me to websites where I could download example exam questions with the solutions?

Id say get different books.

hi you could try colin drury book costings which i think is fab and easily understood with lots of questions and answers

if you need pass papers you could log on to the acca website and download pass questions and answers to there examinations but not sure which papers they are to be honest

Thanks everybody for the replies. I will check out those books. I also went onto the ACCA website and downloaded the exam papers and solutions. I reckon they will be a great help. Thanks again.
