I need to buy a control arm kit for my Passat and the best price I can get is 180 euro with www.dublincarparts.com 200euro with nationwide delivery. Everywhere else is about 300euro. I just would like to know has anybody else bought from them and what was your experience?

    Thank you in advance.

I don't know anything about the company, but €180 is very cheap for a full set of control arms for a Passat/A6. Too cheap.

I have heard that there are poor quality parts out there and the bushings last no time. You'll also see them on eBay.

Eurocarparts do Lemforder aftermarket parts which are highly rated. You'll will pay around €90 for a single control arm (upper or lower) which is half the price of OEM.

It's unlikely that all your control arms are gone, just replace those that are with good quality parts. IME, it's normally the bushings that go before the ball joints.

    Thank you for your reply.

See it says on the website that 'All parts are from German OEM producers Manufactured by ATEC Germany GmbH to a very high standard'.

Is there any way of knowing the parts are genuine?
There is no risk with the money as it is cash on delivery.

It's a google search that only searches this site for a particular keyword or phrase.

For control arms i would go OE if you fit spurious you will be replacing them again too soon,,its a false economy.
