Ebuyer not shipping to Ireland, where to buy now?

I was just about to buy a laptop on Ebuyer. I logged in and got the following message -
Unfortunately we are no longer able to offer a delivery service to Republic of Ireland.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

It's forcing me to change the address to proceed, fairly gutted cause I had an absolute bargain that I hadn't seen on other sites.

Just wondering where you would buy a laptop online? Thanks

I remember someone on here saying that if someone doesn't ship to ROI, you can get them to deliver it to the central post office in Belfast and they will ship it to you. Can't remember the full details but might be worth looking into.

Wouldn't touch Misco. I had a bad experience with them and heard way to much bad about them afterwards to try again. (I should've checked first).

Their delivery is not as it says on email. They will tell you it's on it's way, it's not. They will tell you they ran out of stock and are getting more in. They run out of excuses and loop. First excuse all over again.

Link 1 (Scroll down to customer reviews)
    Link 2
    Link 3
    Link 4

    Etc..

They are very badly run, have very bad marketing practices (Falsely advertising prices on their website, encouraging shill sites).

    Have no customer support.
They DO send emails to the wrong people (As you will find out if you order from them) long after you have dealt with them, which i think is on purpose.

E.G. You buy something from them after you have setup an account.
For the next few months every now and then, you will be sent a full invoice/receipt intended for someone else, for their purchase.
I had to mark as spam permanently to stop, after my emails to them went unnoticed.
They are sister company to a well known American online sales company, and price themselves at the European market uncompetitively.

I have so many bad points and could keep going, but i think i have made my point. Deal with them at your own peril.

Could you not put bt1 1aa as your postcode and they would post it to belfast and san post would deliver it to you?

I wouldn't chance that with something like a Laptop. Royal Mail could just as easily send it back and then you'd have to go looking for refund/chargeback.

Old thread is old, how did you come across it?
