    Folks,

I have an oil boiler at the moment and its combined with Solar via a 500l buffer tank (all in my garage) for heating my UFH and Hot water. I find this system is very expensive and I am wondering of by passing my buffer and heating my HW via the oil existing but separetly

Installing a Air Source heat pump and combining this with Solar panels existing with my buffer and heating the UFH @ 35 - 40 deg?

    Comments welcome????

Can you give more information on your current system size and demands etc.
Very hard to know without understanding the basic design you have installed and the task it needs to complete. From what you say it may be hard for a solar served 500 litre buffer to provide enough heat to serve U/F unless the oil is doing all the work, which it probably is.
    Bit more info please.
