can't create an itunes account

    Hi there,

    Am a complete newbie to ipods so apologies for probably posting a problem already asked.

    I picked up an ipod touch in the US. I do not use a credit card and therefore have an itunes gift card.

    Here is the problem, everytime I go on the website to create an itunes account I follow all the stages but it tells me it is unable to create an account as I do not reach the minimum age requirement. I am 30!
    I am using my email which contains my birthdate. Can someone please tell me what may be the problem, what I am doing wrong and basically ( as simply as possible as technology is not my forte) point me in the right direction.

    Did you enter your date of birth correctly the first time?
