I am trying to start a campaign to give the people of Ireland a referendum on the IMF EU Bailout as per Article 27 of the Constitution.

I came to this site in the hope that I could find some like minded people to help me. If you are interested please join me at <snip>

You do realise that this country has an €18bn gap between income and expenditure and without the EU/IMF bailout money we would have to go back to the bond markets to get this money - the bond markets were charging us >9% (bailout only 5.8%) before we got the bailout.

Tell you what, you put up the €50bn we need for the deficit for the next 4 years at 0% interest and then I'll join... Deal?

Poor pete from Cavan, another propagandised sheeple.

Firstly, it is our right to have a vote on this very important matter, I'll say no more on that point.
Second, we would be in a better position to negotiate, not renegotiate.

And finally, pete, with a small p from Cavan, its people like you whom have gotten us into this position in the first place.

    Forum decorum demands two things:
    1. Don't insult other posters. Calling Pete_Cavan a "sheeple" is unwarranted.
    2. No threads for petitions. If you want you can post in the petitions thread: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056088794
Kindly read the forum charter before posting. It will fill you in on what's expected here.

    Thread locked.
