Krylon paint for camera

This isn't airsoft related but this is the best place to ask as many will have the experience with Krylon paint on airsoft equipment that would be similar in nature to what I am looking to do.

I am planning to custom paint a DSLR in a matt coat (Canon 400D if it matters) and I am wondering would krylon paint be good to use to paint/spray the camera body.
I repair cameras so I will be able to seperate all the parts from eachother whilst painting/spraying so vapour wont be a problem for the electronics/optics, I just want to make sure I get the right type of paint.

The body is black plastic with a matt finish and the coat would need to be able to withstand light wear and tear (not as much as airsoft equipment but enough not to scratch and chip if put down).

Thanks for any guidance in advance and if there are any better brands or types of paint that you use that leave a better finish please do suggest.

I hope this is in the right area of the forum but if it isn't I am sorry and feel free to move.

    Hi m8,

I don't have any experience with using Krylon
so dont know how hard wearing it it. But its probably
    your cheapest option.

One alternative to Krylon would be Duracoat finish.
If you ask over on the Shooting section of boards
I know there are people in Ireland that apply a finish to
guns as something hard wearing. (Think there is a boards.ie member
that has experience with applying it to guns)

Thanks for the info and links Bullets, I hadn't heard of that brand before when I had done a search. Ill research that whilst awaiting some feedback on Krylon as Im on a budget so if I can get a durable finish from Krylon for my needs then Ill go with that if its cheaper.

    Cheers again :)
