EU Court of Justice bans gender related calculation of Insurance Premiums

The EU court of Justice have ruled this morning that gender can no longer be taken into account when calculating insurance premiums.
KPMG say this ruling, which will come into effect from 21 Dec, 2012, could raise both Life and Motor insurance premiums for females by up to 50%.
It's going to be interesting to see how Womens Rights groups are going to play this.
