It means the milage has not been verified.. Maybe not the original owner..

(in the UK many dealers put a sticker over the counter in the cars stating the same..)

I'd say he means it can't be verified that the car hasn't been clocked.

Fairly low mileage for an 04 and being an S-Line is most likely come across on the boat and could have "lost" a few miles on the way.

Exactly and if you were to buy it do a mileage check via WWW.motorcheck.ie Thats a nice A6 btw.

It means that there's nothing to back the indicated mileage up - ie no service history.
